Land acknowledgement and gratitude
As a team, we acknowledge the Land (including the Plants and Animals), the Water, and the Air as kin, connected to us as we are connected to them. We are grateful for and to them for the gifts of air to breathe, water to drink, and food to eat. We commit ourselves and this project to reciprocating our gifts of understanding, care, and action.
We acknowledge the People of the western hemisphere: the nations, communities, clans, tribes and families who lived with and cared for the Land, Water and Air for thousands of years prior to us. We deplore the violence, extraction, commodification, and transactionality of colonizers and settlers and commit ourselves to regeneration of People, Land, Air, and Water
We acknowledge that Land, Water and Air belong first to the future before they belong to the present. Long after our time here is done, the Land, Water and Air will still continue. We dedicate this project to the future.
